CWS refers to a compression spring formed by coiling flat wire into a continuous wave shape. 【Features】 ■ The structure receives load evenly around the coil circumference, allowing for stable and parallel "deflection" (stroke) both up and down. ■ It can handle loads significantly greater than those of conventional compression springs (compression springs), enabling a lower installation height. This contributes to the miniaturization and weight reduction of products. ■ It is more suitable for smaller strokes or static use than for larger strokes. A clear example is that by replacing multiple compression springs used in the clutch section by automobile manufacturers with a single CWS, we were able to resolve issues such as "high labor costs and time-consuming assembly" and "troublesome maintenance." Additionally, compared to disc springs or wave washers punched from sheet material, it offers better yield, lower costs for mold forming, and the ability to accommodate shape changes and special plate thicknesses, making it a noteworthy alternative to disc springs and wave washers. *Since the load is smaller compared to disc springs, it cannot be simply replaced, but it can simplify complicated assembly processes depending on the application.
